Katherine A. Beaman, DC, CACCP

Certified Medical Examiner

Dr. Katie is originally from Reedsburg, WI where she originally became a large animal veterinary technician, working mainly with horses. Later, she graduated from the prestigious Palmer of Chiropractic in Davenport, IA. Dr. Katie had always envisioned herself working with animals. However, during her time at Palmer, she served on the Awana team at her church, working with pre-school aged kids, and it was there that she started to develop a passion for working with children. After practicing in the Raleigh, NC area for 7 years as an associate, her and her husband recently moved to Tarboro, NC so they could be closer to family and start up her own practice.

She holds specialized training from the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association (ICPA) to work with perinatal and pediatric populations including Webster Certification. She practices Activator, Diversified and Thompson techniques. Her favorite population to work with is expectant moms, babies with difficulty breastfeeding or torticollis, or general family wellness. She believes that everyone is ‘fearfully and wonderfully made’, and as such, possess the capability to heal.

When Dr. Katie isn’t in the office adjusting spines, she is out at the barn riding her horse Ellie, decorating her all year seasonal Christmas tree or crafting. Her and her husband are still dreaming of becoming parents and building their own little family someday. However, they are still on an infertility journey of over 3 years. Until then, she is a fur mom to two ginger cats named Marvin and Murphy and a horse name Ellie. She is also an extremely proud but ‘cool’ aunt to 8 nephews!
